As of May 2, 2006 Lee Enterprises, owners of the Casper Star Tribune have reclaimed the domain name of trib.com.
We have been expecting this to occur for some time and have send out email on numberous occasions that all references to trib.com needed to be changed to tribcsp.com.
As can be expected many customers either didn't understand or forgot but the tech support lines have been clogged.
We are calling people back as quickly as we can.
In order for email to work properly you need to have your return address end with @tribcsp.com. Your email servers need to be pop1.tribcsp.com and mail1.tribcsp.com.
Everyone can send and receive email using the link http://mail.tribcsp.com.
For those that would like to know how to make the changes yourselves the following works for Outlook Express.
There are screen shots for other programs at http://support.real-time.com. Select email under the computer type you have.
IN OUTLOOK EXPRESS
1. go to the Tools menu
2. Select Accounts
3. Click on the "Mail" tab at the top of the pop-up box
your email connection should be hi-lited
4. Press the properties button on the right.
(if properties is greyed out you need to hi-lite(click) on the email connection in the central part of the box.)
5. While your are at the "General" part of the settings be sure that your return address ends with @tribcsp.com
6. Select the "Servers" tab at the top.
7. Change the pop (or IMAP) server to pop1.tribcsp.com
8. Change the SMTP server to mail1.tribcsp.com (that is mail and the number one)
9. Press the apply button.
