Configuring Netscape Communicator profile
1. In the Start menu, under Programs, find the Netscape Communicator
folder, move to the Utilities folder, and click User Profile Manager.
If you have never configured or used your Netscape email program, the
Creating a New Profile wizard will open automatically, skip to step 3.
2. Click the New button to create a new profile.
3. Click the Next button.
4. In the Full Name box, type your full name.
5. In the Email address box, type your email address from line
7a of your password sheet.
6. Click the Next button.
7. Click the Next button.
8. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: box, type the name of our
SMTP server (mail1.tribcsp.com), then click Next.
9. In the Mail server username: box, type the account username
from line 8a of your password sheet.
10. In the Incoming Mail Server: box, type the name of the POP3 server
(pop1.tribcsp.com).
11. Select POP3 with a black dot, then click Next.
12. In the News (NNTP) Server: box, type the name of the NNTP server (news.tribcsp.com)
13. Click Finish.
When prompted, you can choose to set Netscape as your default browser
by clicking Yes. Uncheck the box next to Do not perform this check in
the future in case your default browser is changed by another application.
To check your mail, click on the Communicator menu and select Messenger.
Adjusting an existing Netscape Communicator profile
1. Open Netscape Messenger.
2. From the Edit menu, select Preferences....
3. From the Category box on the left, choose Identity.
4. From the Category box on the left, choose Mail Servers.
5. In the Your name box, type in your full name.
6. In the Email address box, type in your email address from line
7a from your password sheet.
7. Click on the server listed under Incoming Mail Servers, then
click the Edit button.
8. In the Server Name box, type the name of the POP3 server (pop1.tribcsp.com).
9. In the Server Type drop-down menu, select POP3.
10. In the Username box, type in the email account username from line
8a of your password sheet.
11. Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to save your password.
12. Click OK.
13. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: box, type in the name of the SMTP
server (mail1.tribcsp.com).
14. In the Outgoing mail server username: box, type in the email account
username from line 8a of your password sheet.
Under Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or TLS for outgoing messages: place
the dot next to Never.
15. Click OK.
